Limited Edition Photographic Series on Chromaluxe Aluminum Mirrors investigates the architecture of perception through Palmer’s collaboration with coastal light and tidal rhythm. At low tide, a thin layer of water forms a temporary mirror across Chesterman Beach. Palmer photographs these natural symmetries in-camera and rotates the horizon into a vertical axis, disrupting habitual readings of landscape. This simple shift activates perceptual uncertainty, where reflection becomes abstraction and the viewer must renegotiate what they see. The work draws attention to perception as an active process, shaped by attention, context, and embodied experience.
